Naveen Gopalakrishna — AI Global Black Belt at Microsoft. Systems engineer turned AI specialist, speaker, serial entrepreneur, and holder of 4 US patents.

I help organizations across Asia design and ship real-world AI on Microsoft Azure — bringing a decade-plus of deep systems, virtualization, and full-stack engineering to the problem. AI4Good is where I write up what I build: hands-on guides for Azure, AI model deployment, 3D/graphics, and mobile — one build a day, zero fluff.

What I’m working on

• AI Global Black Belt — Asia · Microsoft (Oct 2023 – present) Technology specialist on the Global Black Belt team, helping customers build and deploy AI on Microsoft Azure and Azure AI Foundry.
• Bharat Pi · Edgehax (Sep 2023 – present) Leading the Bharat Pi initiative — an indigenous IoT development board for students, innovators, and startups. I design the boards (MPU/MCU, TPM, PKI, Secure Boot) and the cloud platform behind them, and consult on hardware design, schematic extraction, and cloud integration.

Before this

• Senior Software Engineer · DigiCert (2020 – 2023) — full-stack development on the product team, with technical design and leadership.
• Senior System Software Engineer · IBM (2012 – 2020) — system, network, and storage virtualization for IBM Power Systems. On the Hardware Management Console (HMC), I designed a System Plan that could spin up 100 partitions (VMs) in ~3 minutes, and built System/Partition Templates automating virtualization features (virtual Ethernet, vSCSI, vFC, Shared Storage Pool, SR-IOV, Shared Processor Pool, micro-partitioning). Stack: Core Java, Spring Boot, JAX-RS REST, React, Vaadin — plus Edge AI (Google Coral, Jetson Nano) and security work (ethical hacking, OpenVAS, testssl).
